Sektorplanlegging

Profesjonsrelatert karakteristikk med varierende bruk, men som vanligvis betegner den planlegging som forgår innenfor en enkelt myndighets ansvarsområde.

Den planlegging som foregår i regi av kommuner og fylkeskommuner vil således ikke dekkes av denne betegnelsen i og med at planmyndigheten her må forholde seg aktivt til flere andre myndigheter, både utad i koordineringen mot andre myndigheter og internt. Sektorplanlegging blir dermed hyppigst brukt om planleggingen innenfor statlige sektorer.

Sectoral planning

Professional characterization of varying content, but usual understood as planning within one planning authority’s responsibility.

Municipal planning and County municipal planning (cf.) are beyond this characterization, because the planning authorities will have to include other authorities in their planning, both externally towards other authorities and internally. Sectoral planning is therefore most commonly used for characterizing  planning that takes place within state sectors.
