Fagterm som ofte blir brukt om mer eller mindre sammenhengende arealer med jorddekke for biologisk produksjon i form av gress, andre planter, busker eller trær, spesielt i tett bygde områder av urban karakter. Den vil også inkludere trerekker planet i gateløp i form av alleer eller ensidig i midtrabatter.  Ofte blir byplasser og andre opparbeidede fellesarealer med fast dekke inkludert i beskrivelser av byenes grønnstruktur.

Green structure

english definition:

Professional term regularly used for describing more or less continuing corridors or strips of land in continuity with land cover for biological production in terms of grass, bushes, trees and other kinds of greenery. It is particularly used for these kinds of land uses in built-up areas of a certain urban character. It will also include rows of trees along streets or roads, planted as alleys or in single center lines. Urban open spaces and other kinds of surfaced public areas, except streets and roads without greenery, are often included in descriptions of the urban green structure.
