Lietuvos Respublikos teritorijos bendrasis (generalinis) planas planas - Vienas iš keturių - (aukščiausias) įstatymo nurodytas bendrojo (kompleksinio) planavimo dokumentas. Valstybės teritorijos bendrasis (generalinis) planas pradedamas rengti Vyriausybės nutarimu. Rengimą organizuoja Aplinkos ministerija. Planą tvirtina Seimas. Valstybės, (kaip ir žemesnio lygmens planų ) erdvinės raidos koncepcija rengiama 20 metų laikotarpiui, o konkretūs sprendiniai - 10 metų. Valstybės teritorijos bendrojo (generalinio) plano sprendiniai turi būti suderinti su ministerijomis, apskričių viršininkais, kitomis institucijomis, pateikusiomis planavimo sąlygas.(Pagal teritorijų planavimo įstatymą).

Master plan of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania is one of four (supreme) general (complex) planning documents indicated in law. A master (general) plan of the state territory is formulated upon the Government Resolution. The Ministry of Environment organizes preparation of the said plan. The plan is approved by the Seimas (Parliament). The Concept of Spatial Development of the State (similar to plans of a lower level) is formulated for a period of twenty years, while concrete solutions - for ten years. Solutions of the master (general) plan of the state territory must be co-ordinated with the ministries, the county governors, and other institutions which proposed the conditions of planning.
