Globālā sasilšana ir globālā klimata izmaiņas veids, kas izpaužas kā gaisa vidējās temperatūras globālā celšanās par 0,3 - 0,6 grādiem Celsija pēdējo 100 gadu laikā. Globālo sasilšanu izraisa siltumnīcas efektu izraisošās gāzes, no kurām nozīmīgākās ir ogļskābā gāze, metāns, slāpekļa oksīds, freoni.
