Ēkas augstums ir attālums no zemes virsmas līdz galvenajai dzegai, ja jumts lēzenāks par 45°, kā arī mansarda jumta starpdzegai vai jumta korei, ja jumts stāvāks par 45°. Ja ietve garenvirzienā nav horizontāla, ēkas augstumu mēra no ietves augstākā punkta. Ēkai pret pagalmu ēkas augstumu nosaka analogi, mērot no pagalma zemes virsmas.

Building height is the vertical dimension measured from the ground level to either the main cornice (in case the roof slope is less than 45°) or garret cornice or roof ridge (in case the roof slope is more than 45°) In case the pavement along the building is not horizontal the building height is measured from the pavement's highest point. Building height of the building that is located in the courtyard is calculated analogic by measuring it against the ground level of the courtyard.
