national definition:Baltijas jūras un Rīgas jūras līča piekrastes aizsargjosla izveidota, lai samazinātu piesārņojuma ietekmi uz Baltijas jūru, saglabātu meža aizsargfunkcijas, novērstu erozijas procesu attīstību, aizsargātu piekrastes ainavas, nodrošinātu piekrastes dabas resursu, arī atpūtai un tūrismam nepieciešamo resursu un citu sabiedrībai nozīmīgu teritoriju, saglabāšanu un aizsardzību, to līdzsvarotu un ilgstošu izmantošanu. Baltijas jūras un Rīgas jūras līča piekrastes aizsargjoslu iedala šādās joslās: 1) krasta kāpu aizsargjosla, kuras platums ir atkarīgs no kāpu zonas platuma, bet nav mazāks par 300 metriem sauszemes virzienā, skaitot no vietas, kur sākas dabiskā sauszemes veģetācija, izņemot šādus gadījumus: a) ja pilsētās ir apstiprināts vietējās pašvaldības teritorijas plānojums, krasta kāpu aizsargjoslas platums tajās nav mazāks par 150 metriem, obligāti iekļaujot tajā īpaši aizsargājamos biotopus, b) krasta kāpu aizsargjoslas platums ciemos ar apstiprinātām ciemu robežām nav mazāks par 150 metriem, obligāti iekļaujot tajā īpaši aizsargājamos biotopus; 2) jūras aizsargjosla, kas aptver pludmali un zemūdens šelfa daļu no vienlaidu dabiskās sauszemes veģetācijas sākuma līdz 10 metru izobatai; 3) ierobežotas saimnieciskās darbības josla līdz 5 kilometru platumā, kas tiek noteikta, ņemot vērā dabiskos apstākļus. Vietās, kur ir stāvs jūras pamatkrasts, aizsargjoslu platumu nosaka no pamatkrasta augšējās krants.
Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga coastal protection zone
english definition:The Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga coastal protection zone has been established in order to decrease the effects of pollution in the Baltic Sea, to preserve the protective functions of the forest, to eliminate the development of erosion processes, to protect the coastal landscapes, to ensure preservation and protection of coastal natural resources, including resources necessary for leisure and tourism and other territories important for society, and the balanced and the continuous utilisation thereof. The Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga coastal protection zone is divided in the protection zone of coastal dunes the width of which shall be dependent upon the width of dune zone, but not less than 300 metres in the direction of land, counting from the place where the natural land vegetation begins, except in the following cases: if the territorial local government spatial plan has been approved in cities, the coastal dune protection zone therein is not less than 150 metres, including as mandatory the specially protected biotopes therein; and the coastal dune protection zone is not less than 150 metres in villages with approved borders, including as mandatory the specially protected biotopes therein the sea protection zone, which includes the beach and the part of sub-continental shelf from the beginning of the continuous natural land vegetation up to the 10 metre isobath; and a restricted economic activity zone up to a width of 5 kilometres, which is determined taking into account natural circumstances. At places, where the main coast of the sea is high-pitched, the width of the protection zone is determined from the upper edge of the main coast.
