Kuntien yhteistyönä laatima yleiskaava, joka laaditaan kahden tai useamman kunnan alueelle.
Kuntien yhteinen yleiskaava on vapaaehtoinen muuta kaavajärjestelmää täydentävä
mahdollisuus lähinnä kaupunkiseutujen kehittämisen ja kuntayhteistyön tukemiseen.
Oikeusvaikutteinen yhteinen yleiskaava saatetaan ympäristöministeriön vahvistettavaksi.

Joint municipal master plan is a voluntary option completing the rest of the land use planning system designated especially for developing urban regions and supporting intermunicipal cooperation.
Joint master plans need to be submitted to the Ministry of Environment for approval.
