Kaavaluonnos

national definition:

Kaavaluonnoksella tarkoitetaan kaavan valmisteluvaiheessa - ennen varsinaista kaavaehdotusta - mahdollisesti nähtäville asetettavaa kaavaa, joka ei ole välttämättä vielä kaikilta osin mietitty.
Luonnosvaiheessa voidaan nähtäville asettaa myös useita eri vaihtoehtoja.
Käsite on ammattikielellinen ja runsaasti käytetty, koska esiintyi aiemmassa Rakennuslaissa, mutta nykyisessä Maankäyttö- ja rakennuslaissa se on korvattu yleisemmällä maininnalla kaavan "valmisteluaineistosta".

Plan draft

english definition:

A professional characterisation of a plan (statutory land use plan) that is prepared to be possibly presented to public before the actual plan proposal, i.e. during the period when the plan is drawn up, and that is not necessarily thoroughly readymade.
During the period the plan is drawn up even several different alternatives can be presented to public.

This term is not used as such in the Act, but as it previously had a precise and significant meaning in the previous version of the Act, it is still used in practice referring to what is now termed "material used in preparation".
