national definition:Projekteerimistingimused on ehitise arhitektuursed ja ehituslikud tingimused, mis määravad: krundi ehitusaluse maa või rajatise asukoha; hoonestustiheduse; katusekalde jm parameetrid; ehitise sihtotstarbe; rajatiste olulisemad tehnilised parameetrid; katuse- ja fassaadimaterjalid; nõuded, mis tulenevad asukohast muinsuskaitse- või miljööväärtuslikul alal; piiretekõrguse, materjalid jm omadused; nõuded taimkattele; projekti kooskõlastavad isikud; vajaduse keskkonnamõjude hindamiseks. Detailplaneeringu koostamise kohustusega aladel ja juhtudel toimub projekteerimine lähtudes kehtestatud detailplaneeringust. Aladel ja juhtudel, kus detailplaneeringu koostamine ei ole kohustuslik, on kehtestatud üldplaneering aluseks projekteerimistingimuste väljaandmisele. Kehtestatud üldplaneeringu puudumise korral on projekteerimistingimuste väljaandmise aluseks kehtestatud maakonnaplaneering.

english definition:Design provisions determine: building area within the plot or the location of civil engineering works; maximum density of housing; roof parameters; intended use of construction works; important technical parameters of civil engineering works; roof and facade materials; requirements deriving from the location in heritage conservation area or built-up area of cultural and environmental value; height, materials and other properties of fences; vegetation requirements; persons who must concert the design; the need for enviromental impact assessment. In areas and cases where the preparation of detailed plan is mandatory, the design work of buildings takes place based on the adopted detailed plan. In areas and cases where the preparation of detailed plan is not mandatory, adopted comprehensive plans serve as the basis for design provisions. In the absence of an adopted comprehensive plan an adopted county plan serves as the basis for the issue of design provisions for rural municipalities and cities.
