Land Code of the Republic of Belarus (1999)  regulates land relations in Belarus.  It governs an efficient use and protection of land, equal development of various patterns of ownership and  land use, protection  and improvement of the environment, secure of land tenure, etc.  It consist of 15 sections. They  introduce:   land categories and  land tenure in the Republic of Belarus;  types of land ownership; competence of executive and administrative bodies;  rent of  parcels; inheritance; monitoring of land; state land cadastre; state control  on land  use and protection; rights and duties of land users, landowners and tenants of land plots, etc.
